Product Development Senior Specialist

Mission:

You will play a key role in bringing new products to life—from concept to production—ensuring they meet market demands, company standards, and regulatory requirements.

Your responsibilities

• Lead the development of new products from idea to production.
• Conduct creative work in the laboratory and develop new product prototypes.
• Secure proper project documentation and ensure proper archiving.
• Create technical documentation and specifications for the Production Team and customers.
• Optimize existing products and production processes by eliminating waste and improving efficiency.
• Organize and conduct industrial test runs, ensuring compliance with time, cost, and quality requirements.
• Provide input for the packaging design process and participate in verifying the labeling.
• Maintain the database of existing products and recipes in the SAP system, preparing data for the calculation of product prototypes.
• Support Sales and Marketing teams in NPD projects and Supply Chain in their activities.
• Conduct various benchmark tests and organize panel tests.

 Our requirements

• Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or Quality Science or a comparable field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in product development at food industry (an additional advantage will be knowledge of the fish/meat industry).
• Experience in working at the factory with IFS/BRC requirements.
• Strong skills in MS Office.
• Communicative English level for working in a multicultural environment.
• Problem-solving skills with analytical abilities and basic statistical knowledge.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Good sensory skills.
• Self-going attitude.
• Growth-oriented individual eager to explore new areas.
• Teamwork skills and a proactive working style.

Optional

• Knowledge of SAP or another ERP system.
• Communicative level of German is an adventage.
